L-Tryptophan
L-Tryptophan is a natural amino acid found in many proteins, which is involved in the production of the hormone serotonin and has been shown to help reduce aggression and stress. Tryptophan also creates niacin, which is essential in creating the neurotransmitter serotonin. Serotonin helps to control mood and sleep. It is a hormone that transmits the signals between nerve cells.
It provides a number of health benefits such as promoting better sleep quality, relief from depression and anxiety or increased emotional wellbeing. Since L-Tryptophan is a natural amino acid, it can improve your pet’s behaviour without the concern of organ damage. If your pet is easily stressed, then introducing L-Tryptophan can help overcome a deficiency by maintaining your pet’s serotonin levels, restoring mood as well as overcoming their aggression.
L-Theanine
L-Theanine is an amino acid component of Green Tea and is involved in Dopamine neurotransmitter function. It has been shown to promote a feeling of relaxation without any drowsiness making the perfect calming supplement for dogs and cats ingredient.
L-theanine absorbs easily into the bloodstream, allowing it to quickly get to the brain to take effect. By helping to decrease anxious thoughts, fear and improve a pet’s mood L-theanine can reduce anxiety by increasing the alpha waves in the brain which helps boost focus and establish a sense of calm, which also helps pets sleep and pet’s be more relaxed overall. L-theanine can promote a long-term calming mindset in pets.
GABA
GABA – Gamma – Aminobutyric acid is a chemical made in the brain and is one of the most important neurotransmitters in a pet’s central nervous system. It sends messages through the brain and nervous system and is involved in regulating communication between brain cells. The role of GABA is to inhibit or reduce the activity of the neurons or nerve cells.
Too much activity within the central nervous system, such as that caused by stressful events can lead to anxious behaviour. GABA helps tell the brain to slow down and is responsible for relaxing the nervous system. A deficiency of it may lead to anxiety, fear and phobias.

Fireworks season is a stressful time for pets, with sporadic…
Abigail Warby –
“I’ve used nutracalm capsules for my rescue lurcher, Holly, since we adopted her 3 years ago. Having had limited success with other products to help with her anxiety levels I was pleasantly surprised by the results we’ve experienced with nutracalm, Within a couple of hours she is much more chilled out. Nowadays Holly is a much more confident dog, but we always keep a supply of nutracalm in the cupboard for days when certain situations may stress her out!”

“This is Maisie, she has been with us since September 2019, we rehomed her from Friends of Animals Wales (FoAW). She is 7 years old and had spent those 7 years living and working as a breeding bitch on a welsh puppy farm, she was one of the lucky dogs in that she was given to FoAW by the ‘breeder’ giving her the chance to find a home. When we took her on she was very nervous around men, very head shy and generally stressed and worried about life. I had used nutracalm before with another dog in a similar situation and found they made a huge difference. I started to give Maisie nutracalm and within a few days noticed she was more relaxed, this made her more susceptible to training and inclusion into family life. Maisie is now a happy and confident dog and no longer needs the daily support of nutracalm, however if I know something is going to occur that is out of the ordinary I make sure she has nutracalm for a few days before and after the event. For example she recently had orthopaedic surgery. I am convinced that nutracalm have worked wonders for Maisie and have helped her become the dog she was meant to be!”

“nutracalm has been amazing for both my cats and my dogs, one of my dogs HATES travelling long distances in the car and nutracalm really helps him. And my cats worry a lot when they go to the vets but nutracalm really helps them. Thank you.”

“I’m a veterinary nurse and pet owner & have used nutracalm on my own dog for around 18 months now. He is a nervous Jack Russell that is scared of loud noises so particularly hates firework season and out on walks car doors/motorbikes etc will scare him. He has been massively better on nutracalm. For example on firework night before nutracalm he would defecate around the house, after nutracalm (on higher dose for firework season, maintanance dose normally) he was very calm when we came home no defecation and was playing with his toys like nothing had happened!”

“I use nutracalm for my dog when travelling and going to the vets. Before taking it, he started to hate being in the car because of the dementia, but now he loves it again. Vet visits were a nightmare he would climb the walls but now with the nutracalm he’s not bothered by going at all , it’s brilliant and I highly recommend it A++++++++”
