L-Tryptophan
L-Tryptophan is a natural amino acid found in many proteins, which is involved in the production of the hormone serotonin and has been shown to help reduce aggression and stress. Tryptophan also creates niacin, which is essential in creating the neurotransmitter serotonin. Serotonin helps to control mood and sleep. It is a hormone that transmits the signals between nerve cells.
It provides a number of health benefits such as promoting better sleep quality, relief from depression and anxiety or increased emotional wellbeing. Since L-Tryptophan is a natural amino acid, it can improve your pet’s behaviour without the concern of organ damage. If your pet is easily stressed, then introducing L-Tryptophan can help overcome a deficiency by maintaining your pet’s serotonin levels, restoring mood as well as overcoming their aggression.
L-Theanine
L-Theanine is an amino acid component of Green Tea and is involved in Dopamine neurotransmitter function. It has been shown to promote a feeling of relaxation without any drowsiness making the perfect calming supplement for dogs and cats ingredient.
L-theanine absorbs easily into the bloodstream, allowing it to quickly get to the brain to take effect. By helping to decrease anxious thoughts, fear and improve a pet’s mood L-theanine can reduce anxiety by increasing the alpha waves in the brain which helps boost focus and establish a sense of calm, which also helps pets sleep and pet’s be more relaxed overall. L-theanine can promote a long-term calming mindset in pets.
GABA
GABA – Gamma – Aminobutyric acid is a chemical made in the brain and is one of the most important neurotransmitters in a pet’s central nervous system. It sends messages through the brain and nervous system and is involved in regulating communication between brain cells. The role of GABA is to inhibit or reduce the activity of the neurons or nerve cells.
Too much activity within the central nervous system, such as that caused by stressful events can lead to anxious behaviour. GABA helps tell the brain to slow down and is responsible for relaxing the nervous system. A deficiency of it may lead to anxiety, fear and phobias.

Fireworks season is a stressful time for pets, with sporadic…
Linda Jane –
“These are well worth buying. I have found they have really helped our two cats greatly when it comes to fireworkS and other stressful circumstances that happen. They now tend to sleep through it all and never appear stressed and scared.”

“Ralph has always been sensitive to noise but after a particularly bad weekend of gunshots and thunder he was anxious all of the time, I could barely get him outside and you could see anxiety written across his face. I tried nutracalm and he was immediately less anxious. He reacted to noise but by going to his safe place and sleeping, rather than stressing, panting and crying. His face relaxed and he looked like my Ralph again. After a week I stopped giving them and within days he was back to being anxious and if he heard any gunshot or loud noise he would start shaking etc and refusing to go outside. Needless to say he is now on it permanently and is a much happier dog. I am interested to see how he will be with fireworks and thunder but hopeful that he will be less stressed.”

“My rescue doggo, Mark, had a very difficult start to life – he was found in a bin bag on the side of the road as a puppy. For this reason he is extremely nervous and jumpy, especially with things like fireworks. We had tried all sorts of calming aids – both from the vets and over the counter, but nothing seemed to work. He’d cower and hide and spend the evening shaking and sometimes even wetting himself. I had used nurtabio previously and had found it to be the quickest working on stabilising his belly so thought we’d give nutracalm a try as a friend had used it and highly recommended it. We are very glad she did! He has one in his dinner before it gets dark around the usual firework season, and it does a great job! He comes into the lounge with us and relaxes with us on the floor for cuddles – no shaking, no trembling and no wetting himself. He occasionally looks up when a bang goes off but does not react half as bad as he used too. Plus its nice to have a remedy that doesn’t completely knock him out! So thank you for making our lives and more importantly Marks life more relaxed!”

“Our gorgeous dog Spanx is really petrified of fireworks. After trying lots of different treatments ( including diazepam !) We gave nutracalm a go and it worked a treat. Comforted that there were no side effects nor hang over we now use it for all scary situations… Here he is calmly listening to shot gun noises !! Unbelievable !!! (last year he took off and was picked up 2 miles away!) Thank you.”

“I have a very bouncy Cockapoo named Ollie who is an absolute nightmare when he goes to the groomers. He will not stay still because he thinks everyone should give him attention. However, since giving him nutracalm prior to going, the groomer has said what a different dog he is. He is a lot calmer and she is now able to groom him fully. Thank you for inventing such an amazing product that works.”
